As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes according to our restaurant's recipes and specifications and maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and organization.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
- Use knives, kitchen equipment, and tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including food storage areas, equipment, and utensils
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, methods, and equipment
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniques
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
